My
Blanket originated in 1997. Behind my blanket is a husband
and wife team (Neville and myself, Sian). We have four children,
ranging in age from 7 to 15, and are based in Auckland. Neville
has been involved in the knitwear industry for over 30 years and
I have been involved in the industry for the past 17 years.
We needed to find something different for a new arrival, and
after family discussions we came up with the idea of a personalised
blanket. We wanted a lasting keepsake for the new baby. From this
idea 'my blanket' was born!
With Neville's vast experience in knitwear manufacture, he was
able to come up with some great designs and, after testing the
market, the feedback showed there was a definite place in the
market and people thought the blankets were a wonderful idea.
Since we started, our market has expanded to Australia and USA
and continues to grow.
We offer prompt, efficient and friendly service. When you deal

with both your blanket and the service you receive from us. Your
feedback is important, and in these times of automated everything,
it is refreshing to know you can rely on good old-fashioned service
and reliability from a small, dedicated team.
We send blankets anywhere in the world for you. We are supporters
of both Plunket and Parents Centres (we know from personal experience
what wonderful support they provide!) We have donated blankets
to our local Family Centre, and recently sent 150
blankets to an overseas hospital as part of a donation programme.
